Day Two of a Three-day event commemorating the historical events that resulted in the 1954 U. S. Supreme Court Decision in Brown v. Board of education in which Prince Edward County was one of the five jurisdictions involved; the 1959 closing of public education in Prince Edward County; and the 1964 U. S. Supreme Court decision in Griffin vs. County School Board of Prince Edward wherein the court ruled that if public education was not provided in Prince Edward County, then public education could not be provided anywhere in the Commonwealth of Virginia, which led to the reopening of public education in Prince Edward County.
