Welcome!/ ¡Bienvenidos!: The Art and Illustration of John Parra features the work of this award winning illustrator, fine artists, designer and educator, best known for his Latino themed children's books such as Wating for Thee Biblioburro, Green is a Chile Pepper and Gracias/Thanks. Most recently Parra was comissioned to create the art for the USPS'2017 "Deliciouso" Collection of forever stamps featuring foods that represent the Latino American experience. He has received many awards and honors including: The American Library Associations Pura Belprè Honors, The Christopher's Award, and The Golden Kite Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
