The Virginia Tasting Cellar offers the community such a unique and rich experience that you just can’t find at a vineyard. If you were to go out and visit a
vineyard, then you would only taste the wines they produce and sell, not to mention the flavors and types of wine would be common for that particular wine region. Virginia Tasting Cellar has over 35 different wines from 7 different Virginia vineyards to select from, as well as, Buskey Hard Cider on tap! In order to get that kind of variety you would have to visit multiple different vineyards all across Virginia. Tastings are simply $10 dollars for ten pours and you receive a souvenir tasting glass to take with you. You can also purchase wine by the glass or bottle, and even take it upstairs for your dinner at Charley’s Waterfront Café.
Of course tasting wine at a vineyard is just as much about the view and atmosphere as it is the wine. Virginia Tasting Cellar is just below Charley’s on the river. They have a gorgeous covered patio with plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the view and the wine. The lighting inside the tasting cellar is warm and inviting, truly allowing you to relax and take in the whole experience.
