Instructor: Leah Olivier Dates: March 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th 5:30pm - 7:30pm Cost: $160 (materials included) Enjoy learning to draw with comfort, and a bit of humor, in this relaxed, four-week class, beginning Monday, March 9th. This class is for artists at all levels. You will fine tune your innate ability to see the world in shapes, tone, form and composition. You will speed-up and strengthen the connection between your mind’s eye and the paper you work on. With these strong skills in your pocket, you have the ability to create with a newfound freedom. We approach it all with an open mind and a sense of humor. It is as simple and clear as that. We will: Work in your sketch books to sharpen your skills Learn the art of 15 second sketches Develop modeling /shading of basic forms Work on breaking down composition through thumbnail sketches to make artistic choices Explore pencil, graphite and/or charcoal in a finished drawing When you learn these concepts one at a time, it simplifies the act of drawing and frees the artist's mind to enjoy and grow their drafting skills. The seasoned artist will value the practice of simplifying and streamlining the drawing experience while the beginner will enjoy the exact same thing! Come draw with us!
