              Event Description:
              The Heart of Virginia Master Gardeners will have their annual plant sale on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 8am to 1pm at the Historic Train Station in downtown Farmville. Plants offered for sale include vegetables, herbs, annuals many perennials, shrubs, groundcovers and more. In addition to the plants for sale, two free programs will be offered. At 10am, learn about the veggies you might want to plant this year. Are they crucifers? Cucurbits? Nightshade? Legumes? Alliums? Or something else? At 11am, learn about growing mint and lemon balm in your herb garden. Planting considerations, harvesting and easy ways to make herbal brews at home will be discussed.
