    Autumn in the heart of Virginia is a gorgeous sight. The weather starts to cool down and the leaves start to change color and fall from the trees. School is back in session as well, bringing with it the bustling college town feeling.     Fall means schools are back in session and sports seasons are gearing up. Farmville, being America’s first two college town, has no shortage of athletic events to attend throughout the fall season. With field hockey and soccer seasons already going strong and basketball and football right around the corner, you can be ready cheer on your favorite home team to victory!     Looking for a way to have a fun time for a good cause? Look no further than the annual Habitat for Humanity Pig Roast. On Saturday September 22nd, the Farmville Area Habitat for Humanity will be putting on a pig roast at the Farmville Community Marketplace from 5:30-8:30pm. With food, drinks, live music, and friends, this event has it all. It also benefits the mission to serve those in need of safe, decent, affordable housing. So come on out and have a fun filled Saturday night and support a great cause!

     

    From August 22nd to October the 17th, come and check out live music while enjoying a handcrafted italian dishes at Campagna. Every Wednesday they will feature a different artist performing live at the restaurant to enhance your dining experience. Artists include Fox & The Bear, Powers & Brown, and Maria Anderson. What could be better than delicious food and great music to liven up the middle of your week?
