• Workforce Development

  • The Chamber wants to enhance the development of our existing and future workforce through local and regional partnerships to provide a globally competitive business environment for the greater Farmville area community in the 21st century knowledge based economy.  Workforce Development is a holistic economic development approach that attempts to enhance a region's economic stability and prosperity by focusing on people.  The key to economic success in our knowledge based economy is having the human capital, a workforce that is educated and trained to meet the ever changing needs of our area’s employers and businesses.  The Chamber works to help expand public and private workforce education and training efforts for the emerging, unemployed and underemployed workers in our community.

The Chamber has adopted a multi-faceted approach to supporting the education and training efforts of our workforce development in our community.
