Chamber Membership Meeting

The April Membership Meeting on Monday, April 14 at 12noon at Charley's Waterfront Café.   Come hear about the upcoming Sesquicentennial of the Civil War, which will hit our area in a huge way next April.  We must all start preparing right now for the tens of thousands of travelers coming through, learn how that will impact our economy, and decide how each of us can take advantage of this rare  opportunity.  Sam Craghead, who is a Civil War Living Historian, will present this important history and discuss the economic impact and estimated attendance for 2015.  Jim Godburn will be in accompaniment and explaining the medical care for soldiers during the Civil War, and specifically discuss the convalescent hospital in Farmville.  This meeting will be a special treat that you will not want to miss.​
