Hampden-Sydney College Commencement

On Sunday, May 13, Hampden-Sydney College will hold commencement exercises marking the end of the College's 237^th academic year. Two hundred and twelve seniors will graduate at 10:00 AM on the lawn of Venable Hall.

Verne Lundquist
Award-Winning Sports Commentator

Verne Lundquisthas broadcast extensively for CBS Sports since 1982. He currently serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports' coverage of college football and NCAA Basketball, including the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. Lundquist provides commentary for the Masters and the PGA Championship, among other PGA TOUR events. He was inducted into the National Sportscaster and Sportswriters Hall of Fame in 2007. Lundquist spent eight years at ABC Sports and three years announcing for TNT. During his 16-year tenure as sports director at WFAA-TV in Dallas, for seven consecutive years he won the Texas Sportscaster of the Year Award.
