The museum will play 30min audio interviews recorded by the acclaimed StoryCorps oral history project. Facilitated dialogue and discussion to follow.
June 1st Interview Description:
During the 1959-64 school closings, Ernestine 'Tina' Harris, then president of the county's NAACP Youth Council, was sent to live with strangers in Pennsylvania, where she stayed for only three days before returning home to her grandmother.
This program is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lunch.
