Bring your lunch to the Moton Museum and join us for our Brown Bag Lunch Series, held every Friday from noon-1pm. This Friday, June 29th, we'll hear and discuss Part 2 of the oral history podcast featuring Mickie Carrington & Rebecca Kelly.
When local public schools closed in 1959, Mrs. Carrington was 9 years-old and would not return to school until age 13. Mrs. Kelly, a young teacher, accepted a new job at the private "segregation academy." Fifty years later, the two women sit down together to share their story.
