After the Grand Opening at High Bridge, please join us at The Heartland Regional Visitor Center for an Open House to view the exhibit: An Illustrated History of High Bridge 1853-1914. This exhibit is on display at the Visitor Center showcasing the Willis Vail images taken from glass negatives during the 1914 reconstruction of the bridge. The exhibit was designed by local artist, Richard McClintock.
Also featured in this exhibit is a scale model of the original High Bridge built by Richard McClintock commemorating the reconstruction of the bridge after the end of the American Civil War.
The exhibit is free and open to the public 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Heartland Regional Visitor Center is located at 121 E. Third Street in Farmville, one block off of Main Street (and across from Macado's Restaurant)
