QuickStart Tennis of Central Virginia (QCV) is pleased to announce QuickStart Tennis training for Prince Edward County will be held Monday, August 13, 2012, 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the lower school gym at Fuqua School. The session will be conducted by a USTA School Tennis-certified trainer from USTA/Virginia. The training is designed to introduce the kid-sized, age-appropriate QuickStart Tennis format into PE classes and after-school and out-of-school programming.
While the primary purpose of the session is to train physical education and classroom teachers, tennis players, parents and members of the general public are invited to participate in the free training. Anyone interested in learning about this FUN, “play to learn” approach to teaching tennis is encouraged to attend. QCV has trained almost 1,000 PE and classroom teachers, parents, parks & recreation instructors, tennis professionals, older junior players and other community volunteers. QCV has introduced QuickStart Tennis to 121 schools in 19 counties in central and southside Virginia with over 57,000 kids able to learn to play tennis in school.
