              Event Description:
              The Downtown Film Series committee announces Season 15 of the award-winning Stars Under The Stars program.  Begun as a Leadership Farmville project in 1997, the Series has brought over 40 timeless motion pictures back to the big screen for the Farmville and surrounding communities.   Spanning all film eras and genres, the movies are presented in the grassy outdoor venue of the Downtown Crute Stage and have included such classics as Rear Window, True Grit, Wizard of Oz, Grease, and many more.
               
              Finishing out our season on August 10 is Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke in the Disney favorite, Mary Poppins (Rated G). 
               
              Major sponsors for this year's film series include Central Virginia Regional Library, Putney Mechanical, Caryn's Bridals, Real Living Cornerstone, and Sweet Frog. Donations provided by Lib's Place and Pepsi. Special thanks to the Farmville Herald and the Town of Farmville.
               
              Please note there is a NO PETS policy.
              Location:
              Come join the fun at the Downtown Crute Stage, located on the corner of Main & Fourth Streets.  Parking is available on Main Street and in the municipal parking lot behind the court house.
              Date/Time Information:
              In the event of rain, films will be shown the following evening. Programs begin at dusk, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the show! 
              Fees/Admission:
              Admission is free. Popcorn, candy, and drinks will be available for sale.
